International students will require a student visa to study at ICAE and all student visas are processed and managed by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). You should view the DIAC website for specific information about applying for a student visa. Before you start your visa application you will need to apply to ICAE (see Application Information).
Student Visa Assessment Levels
Student visa assessment levels are set by the DIAC and are determined by the assessed risk of a country and align this risk with the requirements to get a student visa. The visa assessment levels are from 1 to 5 with 1 being lowest risk (easiest to get a visa) and 5 being highest risk (harder to get a visa).
As the student visa assessment level of your country of citizenship determines what you will require to obtain a student visa, it is very important you find out what your level is and the requirements associated with that level.
To study at ICAE, you will need a category 572 Vocational Education and Training (VET) visa.
To find out your assessment level, please download the DIAC Student Visa Assessment Levels Document and check your country against the 572 VET visa column.
