What you’ll get

This skill set is for food handling personnel or food safety supervisors working in tourism, hospitality and catering organisations with permanent or temporary kitchen premises, and smaller food preparation or bar areas.
This skill set provides learners with the skills and knowledge to work hygienically when handling food and supervising the safety of food during its storage, preparation, display, service and disposal.
Learners are required to complete two accredited units of competency. Achievement of these units provides credit towards a range of qualifications in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

Previous and current ICAE student: $50.00 

Overview

This skill set provides learners with the skills and knowledge to work hygienically when handling food and supervising the safety of food during its storage, preparation, display, service and disposal.

Units of Competency

Learners are required to complete two accredited units of competency:

SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety

SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices

Achievement of these units provides credit towards a range of qualifications in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

  2. Make payment as per the Enrolment Form details.
  3. Send your proof of payment to accounts@icae.edu.au and benita.malan@icae.edu.au

Learning Resources

Once payment has been received and your USI number has been verified (usually within 1 business day) you will receive:

An email with the link and unique access code to the learning resources and assessment resources

An Assessment Overview with the detailed Assessment process

You will need to access to a computer, the Chrome Chrome App, and Internet access.
