Bangladesh Skills Development

The goal of this Skills Development Project is to reduce poverty and provide economic growth in Bangladesh through self-employment. The project targeted Bangladesh’s 3.4 million slum-dwellers, of whom 90% live below the poverty line. ICAE’s role included advising local institutions on the implementation of training strategies, leading to self-employment and socio-economic growth and creating systems to provide access to vocational training for Bangladeshi slum-dwellers.
