The Certificate II in Commercial Cookery provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
Duration: You should graduate within six months. ICAE will provide you with access to online and face-to-face training, we will visit your workplace to watch you demonstrate your skills, and/or arrange for you to visit our campus for training and skills demonstration. If you are already working in a related job, we will fast-track your course so you receive your qualification fast!
Fees: It’s free, funded entirely by the Northern Territory Government’s Skilling Pathways Program. There are no materials to purchase and no enrollment or tuition fees, all materials are provided by ICAE.

This Certificate II in Commercial Cookery qualification reflects the role of commercial cooks who use a wide range of well-developed cookery skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations to prepare food and menu items. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.
